UK Immigration Rules For Students

The UK immigration rules for students in 2023 are as follows:

You must be 16 years old or over.
You must have been offered a place on a course at a licensed student sponsor.
You must have enough money to support yourself and pay for your course. The amount you need will vary depending on your circumstances.
You must be able to speak, read, write and understand English. The level of English you need will depend on the course you are studying.
If you are under 18, you will need written consent from your parents or legal guardians.
You can apply for a Student visa online. The application fee is £348.

The length of time you can stay in the UK on a Student visa depends on the length of your course and what study you have already completed in the UK. If you are 18 or over and your course is at degree level, you can usually stay in the UK for up to 5 years. If it is below degree level, you can usually stay in the UK for up to 2 years.
You can extend your Student visa if you need to. You can also apply for a different type of visa, such as a Graduate visa, after you have finished your studies.
